My name is Wanqing (pronounced like /wanching/), 24, and a first time mommy-to-be.
From the name you probably have guessed that I am not originally from here; and you are right: I was born and raised in Beijing, China. It was not until about 2 years ago that I moved to Tennessee, US to marry my love of life, who happens to be from here, and of a completely different race. My husband is a loving and caring person, always looking after me. In China we have a saying: "if a woman is willing to bear a child with a man, it must mean that she loves him to the deepest of her heart." And I do love him deeply; till death do us part.
I am currently an M.Ed candidate at the #1 College of Education in the U.S with a concentration of TESOL and Reading Education. I will graduate this May, and I cannot wait to bring everything I have learned from the top education school into the most under-served, disadvantaged classroom so that students there would have the equal opportunity as others to obtaintheir dreams.
Since I am a first-time mom, this journey of pregnancy is deemed to be a journey of exploration, within which there will definitely be frustration, confusion, and trepidation. However, I believe that I, together with my loving family, and YOU, can take this journey together, supporting each other, and fulfilling the ultimate goal of Lord's willing: to be prosperous and righteous on the Earth.
